Post 9851 achieves All American status for 2025-26

The Post officers are excited to announce for year 2025-26 we have, once again, achieved the All American status as well as the All State title. Only a few Posts in the Department make it to this level. Post members wishing to display this on their caps can order a special pin from the VFW Store.

  • Local high school age students compete at multiple levels for a chance to travel and win scholarships.
    2026-27 Theme: "What a Veteran Taught Me about America"
  • Annually, a new theme provides a topic to compose and present a short speech on.
  • Winners from the Post level advance to District, and possibly State and National levels.
  • Entries start around August, with submissions due by October 31. They can be delivered to the Post or submitted via an online portal specific to the student's local Post. Click the button below for details.
